Brian was a great lineman for the Chiefs and like most of the great players on the Chiefs, he did great things for the community. Like you mentioned, he was in the shadow of Will, arguably one of the greatest guards of all time. While playing with Will he was the second best guard on the Chiefs and probably would have been the best guard on 28 other teams.

I think this departure is related to the incident with Todd Haley a few years back. Waters, the leader of the Chiefs when Haley arrived, may have rub him the wrong way when he demanded to meet with the new coach. I don't know (because I am not exposed to KC media), but I have to believe there was still some issues there. Anyway, it's a business, and today, most players don't survive a career with the same team. Teams look for asending players and get rid of desending players. I have to believe the coaches think Asamoah would be better this year than the older/slower Waters. And, Waters was going to make over 5 million this year.

I appreciate what Waters accomplished in KC both on and off the field. Thanks and good luck!! PS. Please don't sign with an AFC West team!
