[Topeka Capital-Journal] The Chiefs’ depth at linebacker took a hit when the Chiefs lost reserve Brandon Siler with a torn Achilles tendon.
Siler’s agent, David Canter, said Siler was injured on the final play of practice on Tuesday. Siler had has surgery to reattach the tendon.
The Chiefs have veteran Demorrio Williams backing up starters Derrick Johnson and Jovan Belcher at the inside linebacker positions. Siler’s injury opens up possibilities for ywo younger players, Cory Greenwood and Justin Cole.
