[Chiefs Blog] Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel, who suffered a rib injury in the final preseason game, was suited up in pads and his yellow No. 7 practice jersey today.
Cassel was with his teammates as they went through their normal pre-practice stretching ritual but was not stretching.
Later, he was under center for the first snap of practice. Cassel made some short throws in the brief period of time the media was allowed to view practice.
