Tyler Palko is only as good as the effort of his team. It's not all his fault. Many receivers blew routes, short-armed catches and dropped balls. He is a good kid who worked his ass off to get an opportunity and got stuck with McClusterF#%K and Tyrannasaurus Bowe. Plus the fact his first start ever was Foxboro on MNF and his second start was last years Super Bowl runner up on SNF. I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes, but for the most part there isn't a backup in the league that could have won those games with this offensive team. Add the pre-historic play calling from Muir and tell me the kid had a chance. I'm just saying.

I became a Chiefs fan because of a QB (Montana), and yet the most inconsistent position on the Chiefs ironically enough has been the QB position. Trent Green was awesome when we had him for that year or two. We lost out when we got rid of Rich Gannon and kept Elvis Grbac :-/ Dont get me started on that. Anyway, I agree with Jeff, we need to test the waters with what we have with Stanzi and Orton. Cassel has to go, great heart, hard worker, but is not talented enough to be a starter. I'm not sold with our Off coord. I didnt think losing Wise would hurt us so bad. Romeo is the man, that is one thing nice to see this year and last year, our Defense actually make a team have to punt :)

It's not any one person's fault! We were 2-14 and 4-12 before last year when we played the easiest schedule in our history. We lost 4 important starters by week 2. However, I'm not sure everyone's job is safe including Haley and Cassel although I don't think it's all their fault. Vito, we were spoiled for years with one of the greatest O-Lines of all time but we don't have that anymore. Yes, we should have more down field plays but that's tough with our line and no Charles at RB. Orton was a great pick-up and yes, Jeff in VA, we should get Stanzi a quarter or two down the stretch. Muir and Palko do have to go and we have to do everything in our power to keep Romeo because he has been awesome this year. What are D did against the Steelers was amazing!

Vito, we don't have a HoF QB like Brees, we don't have the line that NO has and we don't have a good O-Coordinator. Matter of fact, only two teams in the NFL are capable of doing what you saw NO do. GB and NE. I agree haley should have let Cassel throw the ball down the field more often and let our playmakers make a play.

Dave don't let the door hit you in the ass.

I agree with chiefswarpath. We lost our best offensive player and the best defensive player. Look what happened to Indy when they lost their best player. Without a running game our passing game is going to fail.

I think, next week we have to give Orton a chance to play. We also have to give Stanzi a chance to play before the year is over. We need to find out what we have. If Orton sucks, then we let him go at end of year. It was a smart move to pick him up even though most of us have doubts about him.

I'm watchin the Saints/giants game last night and I am amazed how easy Drew Brees makes completing passes both long and Short and to an arsenal of Receivers - Meachem, colston, Graham, Henderson, Ingram, moore - all involved. Then I watch my Beloved Chiefs who have two first round draft Pick Receivers in Bowe and Baldwin plus a good receiver in Breaston - Yet we rarely complete any passes with ease and keep all players bottled up with 5 to 9 yard receptions - It's an absolute joke and waste of Talent. Just think of how good our running game could be if teams had to actually worry about a passing Game. Haley and Muir both have to go and the Skirts need to come off this Offense!! Enough Already!!!

I don't think Haley's going to go anywhere. This has been a lost season in my eyes since week two after the losses of Moeaki, Berry, & Charles. We just don't have the depth to make up for missing two, now three Pro Bowlers. The lack of depth falls on Pioli's shoulders, not Haley's.
