Orton Not Wearing Cast on Injured Finger

[Kansas City.com] Quarterback Kyle Orton made a brief appearance in the Chiefs locker room during the period when it’s open to the media and the index finger of his passing hand, injured in Sunday’s win over Chicago, was bandaged but there was no cast.

Coach Todd Haley declined to provide an update on Orton’s status but it’s probably premature to say he’s out for Sunday’s game against the Jets in New York. Orton suffered a similar in injury two years ago during the preseason while he played for the Broncos. Orton missed the subsequent preseason game but returned to play the next week in the regular-season opener. He wore a glove on his passing hand in that game.
