[Kansas City.com] Coach Romeo Crennel was pleased with what he’s seen from quarterback Kyle Orton in two days of practice this week but stopped just short of saying he would start Sunday against Green Bay at Arrowhead Stadium.
“I would say he will probably start for us,” Crennel said. “Kyle was able to do more than I expected yesterday, and we gave him more today as a result of it. He seemed to have weathered the storm pretty good. We feel good right now about where he is.
Orton dislocated the index finger on his passing hand in the win at Chicago on Dec. 4. He didn’t play in last week’s loss to the Jets. Orton indicated he was ready to play. He will wear a glove on his passing hand, he said, as he did for six week after a similar injury two years ago while with the Broncos.
