Like that post Jeff in VA.

But I can think of Chan Gailey, for Pittsburgh and then went to KC (staff from 1994-97 when the Steelers won four straight AFC Central titles and coached in one Super Bowl XXX.)

Philbin could work. He's an offensive genious and imagine what he could do with Jamal and a running game which he has never had in G.B. Also, he would be a 1st time HC so he will bring in very few of his own people especially on defense. This leaves an opening for Romeo to stay if all parties are willing. Finally, Jeff in VA is right. We should weigh all options and interview a good number of canidates.

I would be disappointed if they didn't interview a bunch of legitiment coaches. Everyone wants the big named guy. That aint happening. People got upset when they hired Haley, but he deserved a shot by suceeding as a OC. Haley is obviously a better OC than HC, that's why he got fired. There could be the next Lombardi out there serving as a OC somewhere. Everyone has to work their way up at sometime.

Crennel showed sucess at the end of this season with Haley's team but he failed as a Head Coach in Cleveland. He is also getting old. Maybe he's meant to be a OC and not a HC?

My point is you don't know who is going to be a great coach until you give them a shot. So lets be happy and excited about however they pick, Crennel or someone else. Give them a shot.

I think this guy would be a good pick for HC. It's business, the players have to play for whoever they pick, Dave. Philbins not going to leave a superbowl team for KC as an OC? That ain't happenin captain. With that said, I would still bet Crennel is going to be head coach. They'll be thorough in their selection process anyway, that's good business.

ANY O.C. will change if the money is right..... and I have been a fan since 1969, I just don't say 16-0 and we need RGB3 as a pick when that is totally not feasible.

Comments of logic is preferred.....

Think of Philbins possibilities if KC turns it on on offense as a OC... when he ACTUALLY calls the plays... and not be the puppet of McCarthy.

Adam must be a young child who does not about BUSINESS

Joe Philbin are you kidding me? You have a person that the players love and a person that WANTS the position.... Take Romeo and then if you want to hire Joe Philbin as a Coordinator. IF Romeo does not work out, then put this Joe Philbin in as interim.

Why kill the cohesion of the players and current interim coach? The players like him, I'm guessing you dont want Romeo here either. Joe Philbin will dispose of Romeo and then we are back with the Haliest program AGAIN for the next three years, with no playoffs. Just because he coems from the Fudgepackers does not make him a viable coach.

"Crennel, the former Cleveland Browns head coach, said he'll listen to other opportunities "at the appropriate time," even if they're outside of Kansas City."

Besides....McCarthy makes the offensive calls, with that said.... be prepared for Haley part two, minus the handicap of holes being played...(golf)
