[Kansas City.com] After the Chiefs interviewed Jack Del Rio, the field of known candidates to become their next head coach expanded to three.
Unlike Green Bay offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, who interviewed earlier in the week, Del Rio has a vast history as a head coach.
Del Rio was with the Jacksonville Jaguars for nine seasons until he was fired in November with the Jaguars at 3-8. He failed to lead the Jaguars to an AFC South championship in those nine years, but he did take them to two wild-card playoff berths while compiling a record of 68-71.
The other candidate is interim coach Romeo Crennel, who replaced Todd Haley with three games left in the season and led the Chiefs to a 2-1 record. Crennel coached the Browns from 2005 through 2008 and had a 24-40 record.
