[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs linebackers Derrick Johnson and Tamba Hali appeared in their first-career Pro Bowl Sunday evening and helped the AFC squad roll to a 59-41 victory over the NFC all-stars in Honolulu.
Johnson had a hand in one AFC touchdown when he took a lateral from Chargers safety Eric Weddle to complete a 60-yard interception return. Weddle initially returned the interception 27 yards before latteraling to Johnson, who then rolled 60 yards for the score.
Johnson’s fourth quarter touchdown gave the AFC a 59-35 lead with just under six minutes to play. NFC quarterback Cam Newton’s pass was intended for former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez.
In addition to the interception return score, Johnson added two solo tackles. Hali did not record any statistics.
