[Kansas City.com] Bill Muir, the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs last season, told the team this morning that he is retiring.
The Chiefs are looking for a new offensive coordinator but had asked Muir to return as their offensive line coach. Muir has served as offensive line coach since joining the Chiefs in 2009.
“I feel badly because they want me to stay,” said Muir, 69. “I’m not leaving because of anything that has gone on or is going on or will go on with the Chiefs. This is a personal decision. It’s very personal. I’ve been denying myself a lot of things over the years but I’m at a point in my life where I want to do some other things.”
Quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn has interviewed for the vacant coordinator’s position.
Thanks god. If I ever see another wide receiver screen I think Ill puke.

I hope this is a start of good things to come to all us Die hard Chiefs fans. God knows we are dedicated, loyal and extremely patient while waiting for a superbowl!! But I do honestly think we are moving in a positive direction. I have high hopes for 2012 and beyond!! I have the same feeling that I did b4 the 2003 and 2005 seasons. But hopefully this time we can finally win a playoff game!! Man its going on 23 years for me as a chief fan and I just now realized that it has been almost 20 years since we have won a playoff game. Damn!!!!!!
