[KC Chiefs.com] Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said earlier this week that the team’s search for an offensive coordinator was headed toward its close. From Super Bowl XLVI’s Radio Row in Indianapolis, Crennel indicated he hoped to finalize the search over Super Bowl Weekend.

Currently, the Chiefs are in discussions with Brian Daboll to become the team’s next offensive coordinator.

Daboll was the offensive coordinator in Miami last season and spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons serving in the same capacity at Cleveland. Prior to that, he served as the wide receivers coach in New England.

    2. Oh Dear Lord Please Dont let the Chiefs hire this man. My brother is a Die hard Browns Fan and he has made it clear that this could be the worst OC in the Nfl history but yet Dumb ass teams keep giving him a chance cuz he apparently comes from the Patriot tree!!! Who cares last time I checked we are the Kansas City Chiefs not the Kansas city Patriots. I am so tired of cheap imitation of other teams. The sequel is never as good as the original. Ever!!!. We need to bring back Al Saunders or Hue jackson will be hungry to play the Raiders twice a year and he is a very good OC not a HC. Please Lord I pray we dont hire this man Daboll!!! I have a very very bad feeling this will destroy the Chiefs Offense for a long while and it will take awhile to bounce back from!!! Thank U that is All 4 Now Peace Im outta Here!!!!!!!!!!!!

    5. Adam, you need to go root for someone else. What’s wrong with being like the Patriots. They made it to a Super Bowl this year and contend every year. Give the new guy a chance, whoever it is. We were a blocked field goal away from the Playoffs this year without Moaki and Charles and with Muir as OC. We will be much improved next year no matter who is OC.

    6. A wide reciever coach is far from “Being like the Pats”. If he was good, Bellichick would never of let him go. This guy is a train wreck. At least Miami figured it out after only a year of service.

    8. Daboll has more superbowl rings than Saunders, 3-1. What has Saunders done?
