With their 2nd round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected guard Jeff Allen from the University of Illinois.

Allen (6’4″, 305) was a three-year starter for the Illini, closing out his career with 47 consecutive starts – nine at right tackle, 38 at left tackle. For his efforts, Allen was named an All-Big Ten second team selection after both his junior and senior seasons.

Allen was productive and durable on the college level. He is a serviceable prospect with the ability to line up at a number of positions on the offensive line and has starting potential in the NFL.
