[Kansas City.com] Guard Jeff Allen, the Chiefs’ second-round draft pick, did not practice Thursday. He observed while wearing a walking boot.
Coach Romeo Crennel said Allen has an ankle injury. The presence of the boot usually means a high ankle sprain, and such an injury would probably mean Allen is finished for the offseason practices. The Chiefs’ last practice is June 15, and a 300-pound-plus player like Allen probably wouldn’t be able to get back to work after such an injury in such a short span of time.
Two other draft picks, fifth-round defensive back DeQuan Menzie and sixth-round running back Cyrus Gray, also did not practice. Each has a hamstring injury.

Damn. They don’t make em like they used to. Hope these guys take their conditioning serious and get healthy soon.
