[Kansas City.com] Rodney Hudson is replacing the retiring Casey Wiegmann at center even though he’s never been a center. Hudson was a guard and a tackle in college at Florida State and was a guard in his only start for the Chiefs as a rookie last season.
The Chiefs don’t seem to have much concern Hudson can handle the spot.
“He’s a smart kid, and he’s a competitive kid,” Crennel said. “They worked with him a little bit at center (at Florida State). We just felt like he had the tangibles and the intangibles to do it. He’s got to be tough, he’s got to be smart.”
