[KC Chiefs.com] The Chiefs roster now sits at its full allotment of 90 players with the signing of free agent quarterback Alex Tanney.
Tanney, 24, signed with Kansas City shortly before Tuesday’s OTA practice. He became a YouTube sensation in 2011 thanks to his uncanny accuracy as a “trick shot quarterback” (watch the video that went viral). His throws have also featured on the History Channel’s “Stan Lee’s Superhumans.”
Tanney played in 47 games at Monmouth College (Illinois) completing 1,339 of 1,622 pass attempts (82.6 pct.). He set an NCAA Division III record, throwing for 14,249 yards and an NCAA record with 157 touchdowns. Tanney threw just 30 interceptions during his career at Monmouth.

I went to a D3 school and there is always a story behind these kind of guys and a reason why they are playing at a small school. I will say that his #’s are incredible and at 6’4 220, he has good size. He may be a late bloomer who knows. Just remember this, he is a project at best and we are looking at a practice squad guy this year. Maybe a 3rd stringer next yr and possible game action in 3 yrs.

Hey why not ? its not like he was a 1st rounder or sumthin,”slvester morris”. I seen the video looks like hes got an arm, and with the right coaching and teaching, he can be good.
