[KC Chiefs.com] Reserve offensive tackle Tony Ugoh, who signed with the Chiefs on the eve of training camp, had an abrupt change of heart Monday.
He practiced with the Chiefs in the morning and afterward told the Chiefs he was retiring from football. He wasn’t a sure thing to make their roster but provided insurance as their only experienced tackle behind starters Eric Winston and Branden Albert.
As it stands, the Chiefs are left with a collection of inexperienced backup tackles led by rookie Donald Stephenson, a third-round draft pick.
