[KC Chiefs.com] Faced with a depleting arsenal of backfield blockers, the Chiefs signed former South Carolina fullback Patrick DiMarco on Thursday.
DiMarco joins the Chiefs following a brief training camp stint with the Chargers in 2011. Signed as an undrafted free agent, DiMarco was released by San Diego after fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his foot on the third day of training camp last year.
Kansas City practiced on Thursday with no healthy fullbacks after Shane Bannon suffered an abdominal injury and Taylor Gentry failed his physical.
