It’s interesting that you mentioned Steve Maneri and Jason Elam. I know it’s just one pre-season game, but if these two continue to improve from this game, they may be the role players that this team needs so badly. Also, with the additions they made to the offensive line this year, I think that regardless of what Cassel does this year they will go for that QBOTF in the 1st round of the draft next year. It would be very beneficial to the QB with a very good OL protecting him. Just my crystal ball speaking to me.

Nathan, welcome back to a new year. Enjoyed your article as usual. Just watched a recording of the first pre-season game and I am pumped. They certainly looked good in the trenches as you said. I think I am more pumped by our defense than I am in the offense. If we can apply pressure like we did in the preseason, our D is going to be very good. A return to dominating run game will help the defense even more. I’m more excited aobut this season than any I cna remember in a long time. Go Chiefs!!

Great article Nathan! I agree, Asomoah and Albert must step up this year. We have a second year man at center, Rodney Hudson,so I truely hope that the line can gel together and protect Cassel. Lilja and Winston’s experience should help out and be key factors in protecting Matt. I believe that Cassel is the weakest link on the offense, so I hope that he can look better than a back-up quarterback this season. I love your descriptive words and content. This is a fun read.
