[Kansas City.com] Romeo Crennel was hopeful the Chiefs would have Derrick Johnson, Brandon Flowers and Brady Quinn available when they begin the regular season next Sunday against Atlanta at Arrowhead Stadium.
But on Saturday he wasn’t sure whether all or even any of them would play.
“Some of the injured guys are making progress and coming along,” Crennel said. “This week will tell a lot about where they are and what their availability for the game will be.”
Johnson and Quinn were injured in Thursday’s preseason game against Green Bay. Johnson injured an ankle and Quinn injured his neck.
Flowers, a cornerback, hasn’t practiced since early in training camp or played in a preseason game because of what the Chiefs have called a bruised heel.
The Chiefs have been off from practice since the Packers game and won’t begin preparations for the Falcons until Monday.

Injuries have me worried. Flowers has missed a lot! Hope he is able to go soon.

This sucks. No Hali, No Flowers and DJ. How can Flowers be out since training camp over a bruised heal?! Either he is the slowest healing human being ever or the injury is worse than a bruised heal. Even deep bruises don’t take that long to heal. what the fock?!
