Chiefs VS. Ravens

Things are not going so well for the Chiefs at the moment. They will enter their Week 5 matchup at home with the Baltimore Ravens with a 1-3 record, with all their defeats coming by double-digits.
Each of Kansas City’s losses has been by 16 points or more.
Last weekend, the Chiefs were beaten up 37-20 at home by the San Diego Chargers. Kansas City was their own worst enemy, piling up nine penalties for 80 yards and turning the ball over an unacceptable six times (three interceptions and three lost fumbles).
Matt Cassel was the main culprit as he completed 24-of-42 passes for 251 yards and was picked off three times. He finished with a rating of 60.7 and a QB rating of 11.9 (a relatively new stat that ranks performance out of 100).
As for Jamaal Charles, he got his yards and scores (115 total yards and two touchdowns) but lost two crucial fumbles in the loss.
Unfortunately, the road gets no easier for the Chiefs. They will be hosting the Ravens and are considered five-point underdogs by NFL odds.
There are questions starting to circulate about whether or not Cassel is the right man to lead this franchise forward. He’s yet to really take that step up and his numbers (seven interceptions through four games) leave a lot to be desired.
This is a team that has big problems. The quarterback’s not playing well and the defense has given up at least 24 points in every game so far this season. Something’s definitely wrong when you’re letting Buffalo drop 35 points on you.
The Chiefs need to get that same kind of effort they got when they beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. If they can bring that kind of intensity, they’ll have a good shot against the Ravens.
