[Kansas City.com] The Chiefs will place defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey on the injured reserve list today, ending his season — and, since he’s in the final season of his contract, perhaps his career with the team.

Dorsey injured his calf muscle in last week’s game at San Diego. He also missed four games earlier in the season because of injury.

The Chiefs will promote defensive back Neiko Thorpe from the practice squad to take Dorsey’s roster spot.

Dorsey was selected by the Chiefs with the fifth pick in the 2008 draft.
