[Kansas City.com] Coach Romeo Crennel said that Matt Cassel will start at quarterback for the Chiefs in Sunday’s game against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium.
Crennel said Brady Quinn, who recently suffered a concussion, has been cleared by doctors to practice but not play in a game. That clearance could come later in the week, but Crennel said he couldn’t wait any longer to make his decision.
“I can’t take the chance on practicing a guy and then not have him ready to play on Sunday,’’ Crennel said.
Crennel said he would make a decision on Sunday morning whether Quinn or Ricky Stanzi would be the backup against the Bengals.

Why not, you practice Cassel all the time and he is never ready to play…
