[Kansas City.com] Former Chiefs guard Will Shields and cornerback Albert Lewis are among the 27 semifinalists for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2013.

Kicker Morten Andersen, who spent 2002-03 with the Chiefs, was among six first-year eligible candidates on a ballot that will be whittled to 15 in early January.

Shields, a 12-time Pro Bowler, is in his second year of eligibility and was a finalist last year. Lewis, a four-time Pro Bowler with the Chiefs, made it to the semifinal round for the first time. Both are members of the Chiefs Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2013 will be determined at the selection committee’s annual meeting on Feb. 2 in New Orelans and officially enshrined on Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio.
