People tune in to sports to get away from politics and social issues. They want it to be all about the sport. We can tune into other media for the opinions and politics. For example, my wife went to a Springsteen concert and he made several political comments during the concert that she paid to go see. He absolutely should have an opinion and he can voice it, but he should have called a press conference and stated what was on his mind. They paid to hear him sing not give his opinion on politics. If Bob wanted to discuss the debate of gun control, why not make a sports special out of it and let those who want to tune in, tune in and those who don’t, don’t. My opinion is he shouldn’t have said anything.
