[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe’s season — and possibly career in Kansas City — is over.
Bowe, who suffered injuries to his ribs in last week’s game at Cleveland, was placed on injured reserve on Saturday. Offensive lineman Rich Ranglin was promoted from the practice squad and took Bowe’s spot on the 53-man roster.
Bowe, 28, played on a one-year, $9.2 million contract this season as the Chiefs’ franchise player, and he will become a free agent at the end of the season, though the Chiefs could use the franchise tag on him again in 2013.
