[Kansas City.com] Running back Jamaal Charles left Chiefs practice early Friday because of a toe injury on his right foot. But X-rays came back negative, meaning Charles could be back in the lineup when the Chiefs begin a three-day mini-camp on Tuesday.
Charles was injured on a running play. Another player stepped on Charles’ right foot as he came through the line of scrimmage and Charles then limped over to the sideline, where trainers removed his shoe.
Charles was taken off the practice field shortly afterward.
